Donna Strachan graduated from the AECC in 2001 with a Master’s in Chiropractic and has practiced full time in Chiropractic till 2015.  She began working with the English Institute of Sport in a lecturing and consultancy capacity in 2009 which was her introduction into Sports Chiropractic.  Since then she has experience across a number of sports including England Rugby, British Athletics, England FA and the Royal Yachting Association.  Donna worked at the Polyclinic within the Athlete’s Village at the London 2012 Olympics and the Polyclinic within the Athlete’s Village at the 2015 Baku European Games.

Donna’s particular areas of interest are Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Manipulation and Taping Technique.  In 2007 Donna was approached to teach for Graston Technique and subsequently for FAKTR within the UK and Europe.  In 2010 Donna developed the I-Assist Instrument and then in 2012 the Kinnective Instrument and Course alongside Sports Chiropractor Kay Pearce and Sports Physiotherapist Mike Chisholm.  Donna lectures nationally and internationally in IASTM and consults and lectures in this technique with many sports.  In 2012 Donna developed Total Taping Technique with Sports Chiropractor Ulrik Sandstrom which they lecture together nationally and internationally.

Donna works from her Merseyside based clinics which house Physiotherapy and Chiropractic and works closely with local Strength and Conditioning Coaches.

 

Ulrik Sandstrom graduated from the Anglo-European College of Chiropractic in 1991 and has been involved in elite level sports chiropractic for over 20 years. He is in his 7th season as 1st team chiropractor at Leicester Tigers Rugby Club and his 1st season as 1st team chiropractor at Derby County Football Club.

He has worked with a large range of elite athletes from UK Athletics, Chelsea FC, England Rugby, GB Basketball, GB Swimming, Sheffield United and Sheffield Wednesday FC. He was selected to work at the Polyclinic in the Stratford Athletes Village during the 2012 London Olympics and has a particular interest in delivering an integrated approach through a tight cross professional collaboration.

He has lectured nationally and internationally to sports medics, physiotherapists and chiropractors including Oxford Universty, St Mary’s University as well as several international conferences.

He runs regular courses in Manual Muscle Testing and Functional Taping and apart from his many sports and lecture commitments runs private practices in Sheffield and Mansfield
